The Blob That Ate Everyone is the fifty-fifth book in the original Goosebumps series. It was released in May 1997.
The original 1997 cover illustration depicts the Blob on a neighborhood street with various items, such as cars and bicycles, beneath its large tongue. Tim Jacobus' signature can be found on the front of the Blob's tongue. This is the first book in the original series to feature the Parachute Press logo on the cover.
The 2015 Classic Goosebumps cover illustration features the Blob in a grocery store parking lot with crushed cars and tipped over grocery carts beneath it.
Synopsis[]
Zackie is an aspiring writer, and is currently working on a new story about a giant Blob monster that devours everyone around it. After discovering a typewriter at an abandoned store, he begins to continue writing his story, but starts to realize something is wrong. The more he types his story, he starts to realize that his story is becoming more and more true, and that there might be something hungry coming to town...
