Parachute Press Inc. is a division of Parachute Publishing, a packager of book series for children and teens. The four women llisted as the company's principals are all authors, with one of them, Jane Stine, being married to R.L Stine. The press first gained notice with the 1989 publication of R.L Stine's Fear Street series, and in 1992 with Goosebumps.
Since Parachute Press has been in business, the company has become a division of Parachute Properties, and most of it's literary products are protected under license for other publishing houses, like HarperCollins. Parachute still owns the rights to many of the works of R.L Stine, but lost, arguably, it's most popular series in 2003, Goosebumps, when Scholastic completley aqquried rights to the franchise.
